I read this wonderful, touching post about diabetes today at 2PhatGeeks:
More than just a fat kid’s disease..
Go and read it now.
I came home from work early today. My blood sugar is high for no apparent reason, my head hurts, my stomach hurts, and I’m exhausted. The anniversary of my dad’s heart surgery is [...]
Aya called me about 9:30 last night, crying hysterically.
From what I could tell, Brian’s dad was sick with another bout of kidney stones and was going to head to the ER and it was all really scaring her. I couldn’t tell whether they intended to have Brian’s sister watch her while Brian took his dad [...]
On Saturday morning, I dragged my twin to Kaiser to get her labs done. This was ultimately a bad idea. It took three different phlebotomists and six stabs and both arms before they could get any blood out of her. They were about ready to go in through her wrist. Ouch!

Remember to limit caffeine. Remember to breath. Rinse and repeat, three to [...]
Between walking and using the exercise bike, I’m getting between 1 to 1.5 hours of exercise a day. I weigh less than I did when I got married 13 years ago. I feel better (and stronger) than I have in many, many years. Zoloft helps a lot with my emotional state. . . I probably [...]

I had planned to go out and see the new Star Trek movie over the weekend, but what with one thing and another, that didn’t happen.
So I stayed in, sprawled on the living room floor with pillows and blankets, and watched movies.
First, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Then Casino Royale again. After [...]
