The Garden of Eden
The most popular search term that leads people to this blog is, by far “garden of eden.” There have been a lot of different queries based on those three words.
Given the domain name and the name of this blog, it’s not that surprising, but I can only imagine the disappointment that people have when they end up here and find my rambling journal about parenting and roleplaying instead of something insightful about God’s Garden.
I have not been a practicing Christian for more than 20 years, I no longer make a habit of studying the Bible, and I have no notable fund of knowledge about the Garden of Eden. I am just about as pagan as they come. However, just so searchers won’t go away completely empty handed, I’ve compiled some information from sources of varying credibility.
- What was the Garden of Eden?
- Where was it?
- Who lived there?
- What was the Tree of Life?
- What was the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?
- What about the Cherubim?
If you know something which should be included, I would appreciate a comment!
For what it’s worth, my Garden of Eden is best described as paradise; a state of innocence, happiness and bliss. It’s a memory of childhood. But more on that later.
