Sunday Reflection
Sep 7th, 2008 by Eve
Thoughts about the preceding week.
- What did I learn last week? I am getting older.
- What was my greatest accomplishment over the past week? Inadvertently making some incredible crepes with dinner Thursday night.
- Which moment from last week was the most memorable and why? A swarm of carpenter ants deciding to try and start a colony in my bedroom wall where all the network cables are run. Ants should not have wings, and they definitely should not get that big.
- What’s the #1 thing I need to accomplish this week? Write more.
- What can I do right now to make the week less stressful? Sleep more and write what I want to, when I want to.
- What have I struggled with in the past that might also affect the upcoming week? Holding everyone to the same expectations I have for myself.
- What was last week’s biggest time sink? Writer’s block.
- Am I carrying any excess baggage into the week that can be dropped? Yeah, but I can’t drop it.
- What have I been avoiding that needs to get done? I need to figure out what’s going to happen for Halloween.
- What opportunities are still on the table? What does this question mean, anyway?
- Is there anyone I’ve been meaning to talk to? My dad, still. Tried talking to my husband. He turned away.
- Is there anyone that deserves a big ‘Thank you’? SURPRISE! My twin, once again.
- How can I help someone else this coming week? Cook more.
- What are my top 3 goals for the next 3 years? 1) Pay off ALL my bills. 2) Get down to a size 6. 3) Finish writing a story - any story.
- Have any of my recent actions moved me closer to my goals. Yes, Yes, and No.
- What’s the next step for each goal? 1) Keep doing what I’m doing now. 2) More exercise. 3) Character journal entries, and maybe blog less.
- What am I looking forward to during the upcoming week? Playing LotRO.
- What are my fears? Unpredictable abdominal pain.
- What am I most grateful for? Aya and my twin.
- If I knew I only had one week to live, who would I spend my time with? My daughter.
