It’s finally come up at yet another roleplay community forum I frequent: a Roleplay Pet Peeves thread. Right now, the thread has almost 100 responses, mostly variations of: -I hate people who do/do not play Character Type X. Bleh. Aya has a cold. Thoughts about the preceding week. What did I learn last week? The Safeway grocery store near work has a magnificent deli. I tried the California Dreamin’ sandwich, which was basically a club with avocado on a baguette. What was my greatest accomplishment over the past week? Dinner Friday night. Braised cod fillets and couscous. Turned [...] Kudos to my twin, whose art has ranked yet again on the Renderosity Art Charts. I am so proud of you! I was asked today to help “unlock” a co-worker’s keyboard. Said co-worker was just copying and pasting between one document and another. All of a sudden she couldn’t type anymore. She was “locked out.” Bwah? thought I. Locked out? Like I have some sort of super secret password to fix [...] Thoughts about the preceding week. What did I learn last week? 1)My nephews are all grown up now; they’re men, not boys. I find myself astounded by the transformation and am so proud of them all. 2)German ale is really, really good. So are cherry sno-cones. 3)Sometimes people who are incredibly intelligent have amazingly poor attention [...] Fair Oaks Village takes its chickens seriously and, a few years ago, decided to pay homage to them with a sort of street faire – the Fair Oaks Chicken Festival. There’s live music, food and microbrewery vendors, and craft booths (many chicken-themed) set up in the center of the village with events in the [...] My monitor at work just literally burned out. It started buzzing, then shot white sparks out the back. Still reeks like burning wires here. |
