I don’t walk around smiling all the time. In fact, I rarely smile. But I do try to look for the positive things in my life, particularly when I’m feeling negative. This doesn’t mean I’m wearing blinders or rose-tinted glasses. I’m definitely not the happiest person in the world — far from it. I am driven by discontent.
However, I believe that when you focus on negative things, eventually you become blind to the positive. When you’re looking for the bad, you’ll always find it — and you might even create negativity around you.
With that in mind, check out How to Create Positive Emotions, a guest post by Stu (from Improved Lives) on The Positivity Blog.
(I’m not sure about the smiling suggestion. . . I’ve learned not to fake smile. I’m told I look like I want to tear someone’s throat out when I do.)

Good tips at the link except for the smiling one. I get the “hahaha F*** you” look on my face when I wear a fake smile.
The key to making a fake smile look real is in the eyes. When you have a real smile, the muscles surrounding your eyes contract.
So, if you want your smile to look genuine, try practicing in front of the mirror, because it is by no means a hard skill to master.
