Lilithiel rendered an amazing character image for me a bit over a week ago. Because Alysia is now without her signature weapons (er, I need to actually write that up, don’t I…), I requested my twin try a picture Alys with a lightsaber. The final version turned out absolutely amazing:
The background for Alysia potentially obtaining a lightsaber is implicitly set down in To learn, where she is bequeathed a holocron. I haven’t decided to take her down that route yet, though — Brian thinks a demonic elf-looking shadowmage Jedi/Sith is too over the top, even for Rhydin. What do you think — bad idea / good idea?
In a venue where there were plenty of Jedi running around (I remember the Kyp Durrons and Exar Kuns visiting the Red Dragon Inn) as well as demons running around as well as elves running around, I don’t think it’s over the top for Rhydin or a proper multiverse setting, which of course Brian hasn’t bothered to roleplay in, let alone with you.
If you want/need to make it part of your RP there, go for it.
It’d be another matter if you were going to port it to Rhilshen, since fanficcing in something from another milieu might not work so well. But Rhydin? Why not? It’s not like she’d be having the opportunity to pull a laser sword out and cleave anyone in twain with the current state of RP there, is she?
I’m with Lilithiel here. Is anything too over the top for Rhydin? Well, this certainly isn’t. Besides, I think demonic-elfinism with a Sith/Jedi twist is rather poetic.
