How does your garden grow?

During my first few years at this house, I tried to recapture a rural childhood by struggling to find time for gardening in a very decent-sized suburban yard. My weekends were crammed full of tilling soil, watering, weeding, and harvesting burgeoning crops of zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and chard. It was a [...]

Ow.

Back from alien abduction.
I had this outpatient diagnostic endoscopic procedure done early Thursday afternoon. The procedure itself wasn’t bad. The prep for it was horrible, though. I don’t mind fasting, but I do mind going without water; that wonky feeling of being dehydrated really bothers me.
And being dehydrated makes my veins disappear! [...]

Practical Style

I may be a twin, and I may look an awful lot like my twin, but our personal styles are completely different. What we choose to wear says a lot about our contrasting personalities.

Peace.

Aya reports that her mini camping trip was fun and “the best field trip ever.” Her pillow got lost before she even got there. (How that happened, I have no idea. Didn’t it go up in the same car with her?) She doesn’t have any sunburn or mosquito bites, though. Whew!
She [...]

Indiana Jones and the Technical Difficulty

Lil and I went to go see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Thursday night. Aya was four hours away, and Brian was at home because I was still irritated about something stupid he had said in the morning.  I wanted to preview the movie for Aya to see if it [...]
