A Compendium of Tara’s Thoughts Since Her Return, by Tara Rynieyn. Yes, it’s another Tara feature. This is a zany and very Dr. Seuss-ish accounting of the character’s encounters since she returned to Rhydin.

Hello!
My name is Tara!
I hit my head.
I woke up.
I like to drink blood.
Says the people that know me.
But I do not know them!

Negotiations, by Mr. Howe, is a tantalizing continuation of the DCH storylines at Dragon’s Mark. I can’t wait to see where this is going.

Howe let thin lips curl into a pleased smile as he nodded. “You think you could dig up more on the Bloods than we could at DCH?! You are an arrogant pup. You’ll learn over time that we have a wide reach, D’Mourir. We know a lot of things about a lot of people. Of course, all that information will be at your fingertips; a lot of power, a lot of control over those who you hold that information about. You’re taking the job then?”

Teetering, written by Sylvia Nightshade at Dragon’s Mark, carefully and poignantly captures some of what it’s like to be a mother dealing with an ill child.  There’s more, of course, about a woman mourning, but this was the bit that captured my attention:

The fever had started in the pale to flush of the little girl’s cheek on the return trip to Yransea. Sylvia’s voice was dry as she hummed the lullaby again to sooth the fretting, fevered little girl from tears. The words were long past speaking at the late hour, but the tears had passed into whimpers and shuddering breaths.

All the World’s a Stage: Wearing the Right Mask, is an article by David Bowers from WoW Insider. He touches on ‘wearing the right mask’ to find other roleplayers to game with, providing a three-part focus on how you come across to other players: Humility, Friendliness, and Integrity. While it’s written with a World of Warcraft bent, I still found it on point for any online multi-player roleplaying game – even free form roleplay.

One of the most common difficulties many roleplayers face is that of finding other people to roleplay with. To help overcome this challenge, All the World’s a Stage presents a guide to finding roleplayers in three parts: “finding the right realm” for roleplaying, “joining the right circle” of roleplaying friends, and “wearing the right mask” to attract other roleplayers to you.
