Play By Post Pet Peeves - WTFs and QFEs

If most of your posts on your chosen community’s roleplaying forum or message board are:
- Off topic / OOC banter
- Huge nested quotes followed by “QFE” (Quoted for Emphasis)
- LOL and WTF
- Smileys and emoticons
- Song lyrics
- Quizzes/Memes
- Word association games
- bitchfests about how other roleplayers are inferior/doing it wrong
What the hell are you doing there?
Are you there to roleplay or has the forum become an extension of the stupid comment spam on your MySpace page?
LOL, WTF — save it for your blog, mmkay?

QFE.
SSG is a hotbed for that, unfortunately.
SSG is by far the worst I have ever seen. I just dropped their forum feed because they have well over 100 posts a day (more like 200+?), and maybe only 2-3 of those are anything I want to read. The rest are just banter.
Even Dragon’s Mark, at its worst, wasn’t that bad! This is not to say there aren’t still a few spammy folders and LOLtard threads at RDI.DM — there definitely are, but I’ve seen a lot more actual RP happening on the forums in the last few months. Yay.
