For now, I can buy any book that I want or need. So I have never downloaded one illegally–but had I been in his shoes? Yeah. I agree. Authors and musicians have the right to be paid for their art, but everyone should be able to have affordable access to them. Take that away, and you take away parts of your audience. What’s the point?
There are a number of Japanese game soundtracks that went out of print before I thought about buying them. . . (yeah, they’re that old). I haven’t downloaded them yet, but I have been sorely tempted.
