5 things I want to do
Feb 16th, 2008 by Eve
Five things I want to do before I die or otherwise get too old to do them:
- Visit an active volcano. I want to be close enough to touch the lava, if I was so inclined. Which I’m not.
- Chase (or be chased by) a tornado. I can’t seem to interest anyone in going with me, though.
- Run a marathon. Not for the competition, to prove something to myself.
- Learn to make beignets and creme brulee without blowing up the kitchen.
- Travel.
What’s on your list?

* Paint or draw something that moves someone so much that they want to pay money for a print or canvass of it to own. It’s NOT the money–its the idea of knowing that someone out there thought so much of something that I’ve done that they want it in their home. I hope that explains it.
* Own one of them thar really fancy cameras with lenses and macro lenses and filters and flash difusers and mobil flashes and take pictures in a manner that is exactly how I see things with my eyes. Right now, no matter how many pictures I take, it just doesn’t match up with what I SEE.
* Touch someone so deeply, outside of friends and family that my name and what I’ve done is long remembered after I am gone.
* Save one more animal from being put to death needlessly.
* Go to Japan.
(psssst. I like this layout AND the sakura one, too.)
I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t blow up the kitchen… I wouldn’t mind flying over a volcano in a chopper, but the idea of being burnt alive has always been high on my list of things I’d rather not do… Hmmn, although it would be keen to be close to something that came from so deep in the the Earth, I just don’t know… Chasing a tornado wouldn’t be so bad, being chased on the other hand… I’m sure you could do a marathon, I on the other hand… And, of course, traveling is good…
