The Rhilshen Lorebook’s contents were spawned from my imagination, but there have been significant contributions from other people.

  • Brian (aka leoshades) built more than half of the pantheon, one of the continents, and several races. He also came up with the Ritual of Sundering and the War of the Ancients.
  • My twin (aka Lilithiel) has added little bits and pieces to everything there, and created one of the races. She’s also my continuity editor.
  • Dean (aka Lord Ayreg) came up with the Legion details entirely on his own and helped me refine much of the geography of the Morning Realm.

There are probably a few others I’m forgetting here.

My point is, Rhilshen would be a much more two-dimensional place without these creative contributions. I don’t think I could do it all by mself.

Even with all of this help from some amazingly creative minds, from time to time we’ve turned to various generator tools to find imaginative sparks to kindle world building and impromptu free form roleplaying sessions. Along those lines, I’ve found the following links very helpful.

What helps you when you’re stuck for a new detail to include in your roleplaying?

Aside from certain people who have always helped out.. hrm.

Recently, I was on a big low in RP, and anti-motivated to do anything. I had no ideas, I was upset with things, and it was just bleh. So I put it all away for a little bit, and picked up a video game. (Final Fantasy 12 <3)

BAM! Inspiration/Motivation bug hit, I get ideas, and I’m back on track. So video games in general sorta helps me.
