Another couple of photos from a storm in March, 2006. The natural lighting was all lurid amber-green.
There is a misconception that California rarely experiences severe weather; we actually do see tornados here, and there were three funnel clouds spotted in the valley on this particular day. I’m not sure if this one really counted as a funnel cloud, though.
