Little things – not so little

Aya’s actually not so much a little thing anymore. Long and lean… Closing in on six years old, she’s off the growth chart for height and around the 50^th percentile for weight. Her hands are almost as big as mine; palm to palm, there are scant centimeters between the ends of her fingertips and mine. And she can clomp around in my shoes without much difficulty.

I do have small hands and feet. Still, it’s a given that she’ll be taller than me.
